New Year Activities and Travel

The big activity in the New year of course was Jonathan and Tahra's wedding and associated festivities. Susan has blogged about that and put on lots of pictures so if you want to hear about it then go to their site. We had a wonderful time although it was a bit busy - daily trips to Bountiful or Salt Lake for three days in a row. However, to be in the temple witnessing a sealing of a beautiful couple for time and eternity was truly worth it and would not be exchanged for anything. All 8 grandparents were in the temple for the sealing and Jonathan's grandfather performed the sealing.

In between we had lunch with Pete and Angie DeLong on Thursday. In what is a rather amazing coincidence Dave DeLong was married in the Bountiful Temple on Wednesday and the reception was on Friday evening. We managed to slip away from Tahra's reception to attend Dave's, which was about 10 minutes away.

On Saturday we could sit back and relax a bit. We had a nice lunch at the Edmunds with 6 couples formerly from the Hingham Stake (Meyers, Chatfields, Hallens, Martins, Edmunds). Sunday was a nice dinner at Matt's home after Sunday meetings in Bethany's ward. Monday we had lunch with Rena and Devirl Barfuss and had a dinner at Bethany's with the Provo Bergeron families (Mike/Penny and Blake/Catherine/Benson). It is so great to keep up with good friends.

Tuesday we left for the airport at 4:30 AM and safely made it to Norfolk. We'll continue the saga soon.
