lots of vultures,   There had been a cold snap, and many fish had died, the vultures were here to get the goodies .

a close up of a turkey vulture.   these guys have red heads, this one was coming in a for a landing. 

  

These guys are black vultures, you can tell by the black heads. They are larger than chickens, and have about an 8 foot wing span.   They fly with their wings straight.   the Turkey ones look like a V  when they are soaring. 

Different kind of a bird,   a peliquin  this one was perching outside a place where we had lunch.
