In New Mexico - July 25-26

We also were able to watch Emma at Gymnastics.   This was at the end of class,   they worked her hard and she was tired by this time.   After gymnastics we all went out to lunch at Texas Road house.  Everyone who lived in NM was there.   Josh was able to join us before he had to go to work and then to the zoo.   Our Camera died while we were at the zoo so we only got pictures of the great apes, and they certainly were huge.

I think this one was a teenager he, or she kept running around and teasing another, probably a sibling.   Sounds like what it was like at our house.   Mom, I think, got up out of her hammock  and chased them til they stopped, at least for the moment.
Dad was in the next exhibit, he didn't have teenagers with him.   he was a whole lot bigger than the females and teenagers.

Look at the size of those arms,  probably good he couldn't get at the young ones.   Don't suppose they would bother him more than once.   Was a really nice zoo, we enjoyed going.  Bad thing was that our zoo membership didn't cover the zoo in Albuqurque.   Oh well wasn't to expensive and we had a great time with the kids.   We saw Rhinos and lions that were actually roaring.   I hope Susan will post some pictures of those.  The roaring was something, don't think I have ever heard a lion roar.  We did buy a new camera a couple of weeks later.
