A trip to Salt Lake and the Temple - August 5

Ryan took some interesting pictures of the Salt Lake Temple while we were there.  We had a nice lunch and afterwards did some temple work.  Was a nice day all around.
Interesting angel.   The temple is amazing, it took 40 years to build.  Everything is hand crafted.  I can't even imagine fashioning the wood work with todays tools, but everything in the temple is hand carved.   Stone work too.
Ryan let us take a picture of them with his camera.   Ours is still on the fritz at this point.  This picture is in front of the conference center, which is itself an amazing building.   It is the largest building of its kind in the world.   There is no bad seat in the house.  Not one pillar holding up the roof.   You can fit a huge jumbo jet inside.  It seats around 22,000.
Another interesting picture of the temple.

After we finished at the temple and the Church Museum of History we met Julia's plane and took her back to Provo and Orem with us.   We stopped and had dinner at the Spaghetti factory on our way home.
